![]() Nearly 90,000 people came to the Belgian capital to participate in the event. Thirty volunteers hand-dyed and stitched together two of the rainbow flags he designed, and they were flown for the first time over San Franciscos 1978 Pride Parade. Edmonton holds its first Gay Pride Weekend June 24-27 in 1982 at Camp Harris with a theme of Pride through Unity in the aftermath of the Pisces Bathhouse Raids. ![]() ![]() After the Brussels attacks of March 22 nd 2016, there was some hesitation in organising the Belgian Pride on May 14 th that same year, but the organisers did not want to give in to terrorism.
